Patch

On a mission to prevent deaths of populations at risk of an opioid overdose

OVERVIEW

The Opioid Epidemic is the worst addiction crisis in United States history. According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), approximately 115 Americans die from an opioid overdose every day. With the early administration of Nalaxone, an overdose-reversing medication, many fatalities can be avoided.

While it is important to detect the root of the epidemic, we also need to focus on harm reduction. Patch is a mobile application that connects to a wearable device. The system can detect overdoses, request help, and track progress.
